VIA Rail to cut transit times between Montreal, Quebec City

On April 6, VIA Rail Canada Inc. plans to reduce transit times on its Montreal-to-Quebec City route.
Trip times will be shortened by as much as 20 minutes, and arrival and departure times for certain trains will be changed to better suit riders’ needs, according to VIA Rail.
The railroad plans to assign its newest, most-powerful and fuel-efficient locomotives on the route to boost train speed.
