VIA Rail to resume Toronto-Winnipeg portion of Canadian route

VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) will resume the Toronto-Winnipeg portion of its The Canadian route starting May 17, which will enable one full round-trip per week.
The announcement followed an evaluation of VIA Rail's health and safety protocols, including physical distancing measures, enhanced air ventilation system, and improved measures for passenger access and the protection of its employees, agency officials said in a press release.
VIA Rail also continues to apply the latest health and safety guidelines and is evaluating its overall service offerings in the context of the pandemic, they said.
