Next month, VIA Rail Canada Inc. will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its "Canadian" service, which operates between Vancouver, British Columbia, and Toronto.
Since beginning service April 24, 1955, the Canadian has been recognized by National Geographic as one of the top five journeys in the world. To celebrate the anniversary, VIA Rail is offering $50 first-class tickets to passengers turning 50 during the month of April.
