Virginia Railway Express (VRE) recently opened 81 additional parking spaces at Broad Run Station.
Now, the agency is working on the project’s second phase, which will create another 113 parking spaces in fall. Overall, the station will have 890 parking spaces once the project is complete.
Since June 2002, ridership at the station — which averages about 900 daily boardings — has increased 41 percent.
