Valley Metro to unveil final design of Gilbert Road light-rail extension

Valley Metro has scheduled a meeting later this month to update the public on the final design for the Gilbert Road light-rail extension in Mesa, Ariz.

During the Nov. 15 meeting, project staff will discuss construction activity and answer questions.

The final design presentation will include illustrations of the latest station art designs.

Last month, the agency kicked off construction on the 1.9-mile extension, which runs along Mesa's Main Street and stretches from Mesa Drive to Gilbert Road.The dotted line shows the route for the Gilbert Road extension in Mesa, Ariz.
