Valley Metro's board elects new officers

Valley Metro's board has elected Tempe, Ariz., Council Member Shana Ellis as chairwoman for 2011. She will serve a one-year term on the board, which governs the regional transit system for the Phoenix area.
Also elected were Peoria, Ariz., Council Member Ron Aames, vice chairman; and Phoenix Council Member Michael Johnson, treasurer.
