Virginia Railway Express elects 2008 officers

Last week, the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) appointed officers to head the 2008 VRE Operations Board.

The agency elected Prince Williams County Supervisor John Jenkins chairman; Fairfax County Supervisor Sharon Bulova, vice chairman; Stafford County Supervisor Paul Milde, treasurer; and Arlington County Supervisor Chris Zimmerman, secretary.

VRE’s board comprises elected officials from the eight northern Virginia jurisdictions served by the commuter railroad, as well as a representative from the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation.
