Today, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) officials will hold a ceremony to officially rename the Red Line’s New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet U station the “NoMa-Gallaudet U” station.
Signs at the station and throughout the system, as well as system maps, have been changed to reflect the new name, WMATA officials said in a prepared statement.
The NoMa-Gallaudet U station opened in November 2004 and serves more than 7,400 riders each weekday.
