Wright retains seat as VIA Rail's chairman

Canadian Transport Minister John Baird and Minister of State (Transport) Rob Merrifield recently reappointed Donald Wright as chairman of VIA Rail Canada Inc. for a one-year term. Wright has served on the railroad’s board the past three years.
He currently is chairman of Fralex Therapeutics Inc. and Richards Packaging Income Fund, and a board member for Saxon Energy Services Inc. During his more than 30-year investment industry career, Wright has served as senior vice president of Warburg, Paribas, Becker; managing director of international fixed income for Merrill Lynch; and chairman and chief executive officer of TD Securities and International Wealth Management.
