X Train takes delivery of first two 'luxury' rail cars

Las Vegas Railway Express Inc.'s first two luxury-service rail cars have arrived in Las Vegas for the company's new X Train service, the company announced yesterday.

The cars are the first of what is expected to be hundreds of passenger-rail cars outfitted for a luxury passenger-rail service experience, X Train officials said in a press release. The cars' final interior fabrication is being completed in Las Vegas as the cars are readied to be deployed.

The company intends to launch its passenger-rail service between Southern California and Las Vegas this year. The cars mark a "major milestone" for the company, X Train officials said.
