Freight road rosters



  • CSX Transportation named Cindy Sanborn vice president of the Northern Region.
  • BNSF Railway Co. named Charles Shewmake associate general counsel; and Andrew Johnson, assistant VP of state government affairs to succeed Shewmake.
  • Kansas City Southern named Edward Scott AVP of capital investment accounting; and Nathan Poundstone, AVP of financial reporting.
  • Twin Cities & Western Railroad Co. named Robert Henry VP of marketing and sales.

In transit



  • MTA New York City Transit President Lawrence Reuter announced he will resign, effective Feb. 9, to join Parsons Brinckerhoff.
  • New Jersey Transit Executive Director George Warrington will step down at the end of March.

  • FreightCar America Inc. named Christian Ragot chief operating officer. He will become president and CEO on April 30 to succeed John Carroll.
  • Lloyd’s Register Rail named Richard Sadler CEO, effective July 1.

Board Room



  • The Surface Transportation Board designated Douglas Buttrey as vice chairman; Alice Saylor, Buttrey’s chief of staff; and Scott Zimmerman, the chairman’s attorney-advisor.
  • The Intermodal Transportation Institute named FedEx Express Senior VP Michael Pigors, Maersk Inc. President and CEO James Russell Brunner, and ContainerPort Group President and COO Richard Coleman to the board.
