Ferromex appoints executive president, other top managers

Ferrocarril Mexicano S.A. de C.V. (Ferromex) recently promoted four executives.

The railroad named Alfredo Casar executive president. President and chief executive officer of Ferromex since November 1999, Casar has served Grupo México since 1992.

Ferromex also appointed Rogelio Vélez general director. Most recently vice president of sales and marketing, he joined Ferromex in 2000, and since has been responsible for marketing, customer service, sales, car management and tourism.

In addition, the railroad named Terry McDermott VP of sales and marketing to succeed Vélez, and Fernando López Guerra, director of sales in grains, automotive and intermodal, to succeed McDermott.
