BNSF appoints Vincent, Ebel and Potempa to management positions

BNSF Railway Co. recently promoted Alec Vincent from general director of taxes and tax legislative affairs to assistant vice president of finance and assistant treasurer. He will be responsible for all financing and treasury functions, including financing secured and unsecured debt, overseeing the share repurchase program and administering pension plan asset investments.

Since joining BNSF in 1990, Vincent has held various tax-related positions. He previously served the Kansas Department of Revenue's property tax division and CSX Transportation in various tax-related roles.

Meanwhile, BNSF also named Dick Ebel general manager of the Twin Cities Division to succeed Mark Bruce, who retired, and promoted Chuck Potempa from terminal superintendent-Los Angeles to general manager-Los Angeles Division to succeed Ebel.

Since joining BNSF in 1979, Ebel has held various accounting, finance, intermodal and automotive positions, including AVP of intermodal-automotive operations and AVP of service design.

Potempa, who joined BNSF in 1993 as a logistics analyst, previously served as assistant hub manager, hub operations manager, marketing manager, hub operations senior manager and director of regional hub operations-northern California.
