BNSF Railway Co. recently named Dave Freeman vice president of engineering to succeed Greg Fox, who last week was named VP of transportation after Dave Dealy left the company.

Most recently region VP-north operations, Freeman previously served as AVP and chief engineer-south, and AVP of service design.

BNSF also named Jeff Wright as Freeman’s successor and appointed Michael Shircliff assistant VP of locomotive utilization to succeed Wright.

The railroad plans to name Shircliff’s successor as general manager of the California Division at a later date.
