Wilbourn, Scott to helm UP service units

Union Pacific Railroad recently promoted Chad Wilbourn from director of transportation services-North Platte Service Unit to the unit’s general superintendent of transportation services to succeed Cameron Scott, who will become general superintendent of the Kansas City Service Unit after Joe Whalen retires early next year. Both appointments take effect Jan. 1.

Wilbourn, who joined UP in 1990, will be responsible for more than 1,885 track miles in central and western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming, northeastern Colorado and northeastern Kansas. He previously held several operating department positions.

Scott, who joined the Class I in 1991, will be responsible for 1,320 track miles in northern Missouri, southeastern Nebraska and northeastern Kansas. He also has held a number of operating positions.
