Norfolk Southern Corp. recently appointed James Squires executive vice president of finance; Joseph Dimino, VP of compliance; and Timothy Drake, VP of engineering to succeed Gary Woods, who will retire after serving NS the past 40 years.

Most recently senior VP of financial planning, Squires has served in various positions — including SVP of law — since joining NS in 1992 as an attorney.

Most recently VP and corporate counsel, Dimino previously served stints as senior general counsel and attorney since joining NS in 1976.

Finally, Drake — who joined the Class I in 1976 as an assistant track supervisor — most recently was assistant VP of maintenance of way and structures. He previously held a range of engineering positions, including chief engineer of line maintenance.
