Alaska Railroad installs several new top execs

As part of a reorganization, the Alaska Railroad Corp. (ARRC) recently realigned its top-level management team, including the appointment of William O'Leary as chief operating officer and Barbara Amy as chief financial officer.

ARRC's vice president of finance and CFO since 2001, O'Leary now is responsible for transportation, engineering, mechanical, safety, labor relations, marketing, customer service and grant administration functions. He previously served as the railroad's interim president and chief executive officer in 2010.

Most recently director of corporate finance, Amy has served stints as manager of corporate finance and a financial analyst since joining ARRC in 2006. She previously was a a securities fraud investigator for the National Association of Securities Dealers, an investment banker specializing in transportation and a principal in a private equity firm in Chicago.

ARRC also named Wendy Lindskoog VP of business management and corporate affairs; Clark Hopp, VP of engineering; and Jon Garner, transportation superintendent.

Lindskoog most recently was VP of corporate and government affairs and will continue to serve as secretary to ARRC's board. She previously was the communications director for the Alaska State Senate and part owner of a regional publication.

Hopp most recently was director of special projects and oversaw the Port MacKenzie Rail Extension and Northern Rail Extension's first phase. He previously served ARRC as manager of civil projects and capital projects manager. Prior to joining ARRC in 2001, Hopp filled various project management roles at Transystems Corp.

Garner most recently was superintendent of southern terminals. He began his ARRC career in 2003 as a brakeman.
