The Canadian Association of Railway Suppliers (CARS) has added Doug Reece and Jason Fries to its board.Reece is director of marketing and business development at Procor Ltd., which leases conventional and special purpose tank and freight cars. He has more than three decades of rail industry experience and has held various posts in sales, business development, e-business, marketing and fleet management.Fries is a certified engineering technologist at Rail-Term Inc., where he is responsible for the software, communications and signaling groups. For the past 18 years, he has participated in the design and management of complex railway signaling, SCADA and communications systems for rapid transit, light-rail, intercity passenger-rail and freight railroad networks in North America.CARS' 15-member board includes Bill Thompson of Timken Canada, who serves as president, and Kent Montgomery of Ronsco Inc., who serves as vice president. The association represents the interests of more than 400 companies that provide railway products and services in Canada.
