Since 2008, Yellin has served as senior vice president for administration and chief safety officer for MTA Long Island Rail Road. He has 27 years of experience in the public transit industry, and is a leader in policy administration and administrative functions, NJ Transit officials said in a press release.

Lavell has served as acting vice president and GM of NJ Transit's rail operations since March. He is a career railroad professional with broad experience in operations, equipment, infrastructure and safety, NJ Transit officials said.

For the past six years, Lavell served as deputy GM of equipment for NJ Transit. He previously served Amtrak for 30 years, including a stint as regional vice president of equipment maintenance.
