Operation Lifesaver Inc.'s (OLI) board elected members and officers for two-year terms effective Jan. 1, 2016, the organization announced late last week.

Railroad consultant William Barringer was re-elected chairman, and Jo Strang, vice president for regulatory affairs at the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association, was elected vice chairman. Steven Neubauer, director of international safety for BNSF Railway Co., was re-elected secretary-treasurer.

Strang succeeds longtime vice chairman Clyde Hart Jr., who is leaving the OLI board after nine years of service. At its meeting, the board honored Hart's service to Operation Lifesaver and his 30-year in transportation and federal and regulatory affairs.
