The Intermodal Association of North America's (IANA) board last week welcomed four new members and installed officers for the 2016 membership year.

Katie Farmer, group vice president for consumer products of BNSF Railway Co., was reelected chairman. Farmer has more than 20 years of experience in the railroad industry and is responsible for the commercial activities of BNSF's intermodal and automotive business.

"We look forward to working under Katie's leadership again this year," said Joni Casey, IANA's president and chief executive officer, in a press release. "Her industry experience and insight position the association to engage in major issues facing the intermodal community."

Adriene Bailey, chief strategy officer at Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc., retained her office of vice chairman. Dave Manning, president of TCW Inc., was elected treasurer.

In addition to Farmer, IANA members elected three directors to serve three-year terms. Joining the 2016 board to represent the motor carrier, 3PL and marine divisions respectively, are Mark George, chairman of IMC Cos.; Derrick Broome, VP of intermodal at C.A.T. Global Inc.; and Mike Wilson, senior VP at Hamburg Sud North America.
