BLET names Collier to oversee accounting, compliance functions
The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) has appointed Mike Collier assistant to the national secretary-treasurer and director of accounting effective June 1, the labor organization announced yesterday.
Collier has more than 30 years of business experience, most recently as vice president of marketing and sales at UnionTrack, where he led the marketing team, according to a BLET press release.
He has served stints in public accounting, corporate accounting and corporate financial planning. At BLET, he will head the BLET National Division's accounting department, where he'll be responsible for management of the record department, compliance department and the online reporting system.
Collier will report to National Secretary-Treasurer S.J. Bruno.
"Those of us who have worked with Mike on the National Division's UnionTrack project already know the wealth of knowledge he brings to this new position," said BLET President Dennis Pierce.
