Florida East Coast Industries (FECI) has named M. Bruce Snyder chief financial officer.

Snyder will play an important role in the capitalization of FECI's significant infrastructure and commercial real estate investments, FECI officials said in a press release.

Snyder has more than 30 years of experience as a financial and operational leader with expertise in overseeing large, diversified operations, said FECI President and Chief Executive Officer Vincent Signorello.

"His proven track record is welcomed during this high-growth phase for FECI, including Brightline's summer 2017 launch," said Signorello.

Snyder most recently served as senior vice president of finance and accounting for the New York-based real estate and development firm Related Cos. He also served as CFO of both the Rio Tinto Palabora Mining Co. and Rio Tinto Minerals. In addition, Snyder has held executive positions with the St. Joe Co., CarrAmerica Realty and Charles E. Smith Cos.

FECI is the parent company of All Aboard Florida, which is developing Brightline, a privately owned and operated passenger-rail line that will connect Orlando and Miami.
