The Intermodal Association of North America's (IANA) board installed new officers and added two new members on Jan. 1 for the 2017 membership year.

The board elected Adriene Bailey, chief strategy officer for Yusen Logistics (Americas), as chairman, moving up from the office of vice chairman.

Bailey has held leadership positions at Pacer International as well as managerial posts at CSX, consulting firms and the Southern Pacific Railroad. Presently, she chairs the Denver Transportation Institute.

"Adriene brings extensive industry experience and multimodal insight as our new chairman," said IANA President and Chief Executive Officer Joni Casey in a press release.

The board also elected Mike Wilson, senior vice president of Hamburg Sud North America, as vice chairman. Dave Manning, president of TCW, was re-elected as treasurer.

New to the board this year are Jason Hess, vice president and general manager of intermodal for Union Pacific Railroad, and Jon Poelma, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Consolidated Chassis Management. Each will begin a three-year term.
