Reading & Northern taps Goetz as VP of MOW, Yoder as AVP of real estate

Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad Co. (R&N) has appointed Chris Goetz vice president maintenance of way (MOW) and Erik Yoder, assistant VP of real estate.

Gotez has spent the past several years growing the railroad’s real estate department and has displayed strong leadership qualities, along with an invaluable railroad and construction knowledge that will effectively lead the MOW team, R&N officials said in a press release.

He joined the regional in January 2013 in the MOW and real estate departments as a track worker, then in 2015 transitioned into the real estate department as a project manager. Earlier this rear, Goetz was promoted to AVP of real estate.

Most recently VP of MOW, Yoder joined R&N in fall 2011 as MOW administrator. In 2013, he was promoted to AVP of MOW, then in 2014 transitioned to the operations department as AVP of operations planning. Later in 2014, Yoder reassumed the AVP-MOW position.

"Chris and Erik's work in MOW and real estate displayed that they both have strong leadership capabilities and railroad expertise that could be leant to both departments, which are needed during this time of exponential growth over the past 12 months at the Reading & Northern," said R&N VP of Administration Christina Muller-Levan.
