The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) earlier this month installed its board members and elected Kevin Lhotak chairman.

Lhotak, who is president of Reliable Transportation Specialists Inc., is a longtime member of IANA. He has served as the association's treasurer and chaired its operations committee. He's also a member of the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative's board and the Intermodal Motor Carriers Conference of the American Trucking Associations.

"Kevin brings 30-plus years of intermodal transportation experience and industry insights to this leadership role," said IANA President and Chief Executive Officer Joni Casey in a press release. "His active participation in IANA as well as other industry organizations positions him well to address the association's priorities."

IANA also elected the following to officer positions: Jon Poelma, vice chairman; and Derrick Broome, treasurer. Poelma is president and chief operating officer of Consolidated Chassis Management LLC, and Broome is vice president-intermodal at C.A.T. Global Corp.

In addition, the board welcomed new members Joseph Tovo III of DNJ Intermodal Services and Noel Hacegaba of the Port of Long Beach. Tovo will represent the motor carrier division on the board, while Hacegaba will represent the marine division.
