The Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA) earlier this week named Rob Padgette its managing director of management and operations of the Capitol Corridor train route between San Jose and Auburn, California.
On July 1, Padgette will succeed David Kutrosky, who is stepping down after nearly 10 years.
Since joining the CCJPA in 2018 as deputy managing director, Padgette has helped fortify the authority's relationships with state officials, as well as service partners, according to a CCPJA press release. He also has been instrumental in advancing funding opportunities that will allow the CCJPA to continue improving and expanding Capitol Corridor train service, they said.
“Safety and customer experience have always been key drivers for the CCJPA, and I intend to embrace and build on that commitment to the Capitol Corridor passengers and employees, as well as the communities we serve,” Padgette said.
Prior to joining CCJPA, Padgette was the deputy executive director of the Northeast Corridor Commission in Washington, D.C.
