The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) board yesterday elected Paul Wageman chair and Michele Wong Krause, vice chair.

Wageman has been a member of DART's board since in 2012. He is a past chairman of the North Texas Tollway Authority and is a shareholder at Dallas law firm Winstead PC, DART officials said in a press release.

Wong Krause is an attorney and owner of the Wong Krause Law firm. She has served on DART's board since 2014.

The board also elected Jonathan Kelly secretary and Ray Jackson, assistant secretary.

Meanwhile, DART yesterday announced it has entered into three agreements to extend or expand shuttle service to and from light-rail stations.

On Oct. 8, agency officials signed a three-year pact with the city of Richardson to provide a weekday shuttle service rom DART’s Galatyn Park Station to the Crescent Palisades Employment District. DART has been a funding partner with Richardson since 2008.

The agency also extended its site-specific shuttles connecting the Texas Instruments campus to the LBJ/Central Station in Dallas, and approved an interlocal agreement with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) for the funding of a vanpool service program.

The agreement allows DART to expand its vanpool program from 183 to 225 vehicles. The vans are used for trips that cannot be made using other DART services.

NCTCOG's federal funds would offset 35 percent of the program's cost, while 60 percent of funding will come from users and 5 percent from DART.
