The Greater New York chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) named Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corp. (PATH) General Manger and Director of Rail Transit Clarelle DeGraffe "Woman of the Year."
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, DeGraffe has provided "extraordinary" leadership to PATH and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) customers and employees, WTS officials said in a press release.
"She has worked quickly and effectively to protect the people who work for her and in ensuring that PATH's riders are able to travel safely, securely and efficiently throughout the pandemic,” organization officials said.
PANYNJ Executive Director Rick Cotton agreed.
"Her managerial expertise has been on daily display, especially in responding to the operational challenges we’ve faced and continue to face during the pandemic," Cotton said.
DeGraffe was appointed to the head of PATH in 2019, and previously served PANYNJ for 30 years. To read more about DeGraffe's career and her plan for PATH’s improvement, click here.
