The Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) in Texas earlier this week elected three new board officers.
Denton Mayor Chris Watts was elected chair, Denton County representative Cesar Molina was elected vice chair and Denton County representative Sam Burke was re-elected as board secretary, DCTA officials said in a press release.
DCTA operates the 21-mile A-train commuter-rail line in north Texas.
Watts is serving his third term as mayor. He previously served three terms as a Denton City Council member.
Burke has practiced law his entire career, and has served on the Corinth City Council since 2015. He is Corinth’s mayor pro tem.
Molina is business development manager for Halff Associates. Previously, he worked as an engineer for the city of Carrollton. Molina’s experience includes traffic signal timing, signal design, traffic control plans and transportation planning.
