UP makes appointments in marketing and sales, loup logistics

Union Pacific Railroad yesterday announced the following marketing and sales appointments: Jason Hess to vice president of bulk, Kari Kirchhoefer to VP of premium and Josh Perkes to VP of loup logistics.

Previously VP of premium, marketing and sales, Hess will succeed Brad Thrasher, who will retire in March after a 33-year career at UP. Hess has served the Class I in various roles for more than 26 years.

Previously VP of loup logistics, Kirchhoefer will succeed Hess as VP of premium. Kirchhoefer has been with UP for more than 28 years.

Previously assistant VP of workforce resources, Perkes succeeds Kirchhoefer as VP of loup logistics. Perkes has served UP for more than 18 years.

The new appointments will take effect March 1.
