Portec Rail Products Inc. recently named Vivek Caroli international business development director. He is responsible for marketing all of Portec Rail's product lines, providing technical support and training for all divisions, and representing the supplier as a sales account manager in India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.

A mechanical engineer, Caroli has served Portec Rail's RMP Division as an account representative since 1996. He will be based in New Dehli, India.

"[Caroli] has an in-depth understanding of Portec Rail that will be of tremendous value in his expanded role of providing improved service to customers, as well bringing the entire range of Portec Rail products to new international markets," said Portec Rail Chief Executive Officer John Cooper in a prepared statement.

Portec Rail supplies rail joints and anchors, spikes, railway friction-management products and systems, and load securement devices.
