The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) elected its 2022 officers during its winter meeting held earlier this month near Chicago.
The elected MARS president is Carrie Evans, Iowa Interstate Railroad Ltd.; first vice president is Kathy Bathurst, CSX; and second vice president is Matt O'Kray, Genesee & Wyoming Inc. The outgoing president is Stefan Loeb of Watco.
MARS' new executive committee members are Justin Broyles, R. J. Corman Group; Kristina Chambers, TTX Inc.; Nick Clark, CN; and Jim Titsworth, BNSF Railway Co.
"I look forward to the renewed growth of this vital organization in 2022," said Evans in a press release. "We are positioned for continued success thanks to the tireless work by the previous executive team.”
MARS' 2022 summer meeting is scheduled for July 18-19 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
