R.J. Corman Railroad Group announced this week the return of Fred Mudge to the company’s board.
Mudge is the board's former chairman and the company's former interim president and CEO. He played an integral part in the company for nearly 20 years, R.J. Corman officials said in a press release.
Mudge made numerous contributions to the company through critical partnerships, operational efficiency initiatives and understanding of the market, all of which led to sustainable growth in the last decades, R.J. Corman officials said.
Mudge is also former secretary of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and previously served as president and CEO of Logan Aluminum, a flat-rolled aluminum manufacturer. In addition, he spent 32 years at Arco Metals Co.
Mudge "knows and understands our company's operations, our values, and our strategic vision for the future,” said R.J. Corman President and CEO Ed Quinn. "This, combined with his experience and vast understanding of the transportation market, will have a positive impact on our company."
