Today, Magnus L.L.C. announce the appointment — and return — of Charley Boyle. He will serve as sales manager for the Eastern Region.

In a newly created position, Boyle will be responsible for fostering and developing existing and new client relationships throughout the eastern United States. Among his primary account responsibilities: Norfolk Southern Railway, CSX Transportation and Florida East Coast Railway L.L.C.

Boyle originally started with Magnus in 1961 and during his 20-year tenure, progressed through the company with increased responsibility, eventually serving as southeastern regional sales representative for all Class Is, short lines and car builders. He joined Motor Coils in 1979, where he served as regional sales manager responsible for sales of traction motors to all eastern market segments until the company was sold to General Electric.

"He has come back home," said John Macklin, president of Magnus, which produces traction motor support bearings. "In our strategy to move closer to our clients and truly partner with them, we needed to add to our field sales force. Working alongside Dave Burns, Charley is an outstanding addition in helping us achieve this most important objective."
