ONTC: Moore steps down as CEO, Evans fills in as leader

Late last month, Corina Moore resigned as president and CEO of the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC), a provider of passenger-rail and bus services.

She had assumed that leadership position in October 2014. Moore previously served ONTC as chief operating officer and executive director. She joined the commission in 2005 as director of telecommunications.

In 2018, Moore was honored by the League of Railway Women with its annual Woman of the Year Award.

ONTC has installed Chad Evans as interim president and CEO to lead the company until Moore’s successor is appointed. He has served as vice president of strategy and corporate services since January. Evans previously served stints at ONTC as VP of corporate services and director of information technology/transformation.

He has spent the past 20 years leading change and continuous-improvement efforts in the private and public sector as a business leader, technology and management consultant, trainer and speaker.

Evans is one of the architects of ONTC’s transformation program, which involves adopting modern technology, implementing continuous-improvement practices and integrating performance measurements into daily operations, according to the commission.
