The Regional Transportation District of Denver and the Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority in Southern California this week swore in new members to their boards.
RTD added three new board members: JoyAnn Ruscha, Michael Guzman and Ian Harwick. Additionally, five other board members were reelected: Erik Davidson, Vince Buzek, Troy Whitmore, Peggy Catlin and Lynn Guissinger. Guissinger will serve as chair in 2023, RTD officials said in a press release.
Marjorie Sloan and Bobby Dishell were named executive committee officers. They’ve served on the board since 2020.
Meanwhile, the Foothill Gold Line authority named Ed Reece chair and Mendell Thompson, vice chair, after their elections last month. Reece is mayor of Claremont, California; Thompson is a member of Glendora City Council.
During their years-long tenures, Reece and Mendell have been credited with advancing the Foothill Gold Line’s project segment from Glendora to Pomona, which is under construction and on schedule to be completed in January 2025, authority officials said.
