R. J. Corman Railroad Group Executive Vice President of Commercial Affairs Justin Broyles has been named vice chair of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association.
Broyles will serve a three-year term on the board, R. J. Corman officials said in a press release. He already serves as VP of the eastern region and also will become chair of the Short Line Safety Institute.
Broyles has more than 20 years of experience in business development of rail-related services, such as emergency and storm response, railroad construction and national account management, R. J. Corman officials said. As EVP, Broyles is responsible for all Class I corporate relations for the R. J. Corman companies and leads commercial endeavors for the company’s short lines and storm team.
"Justin will play a crucial role and provide critical continuity to our efforts, as the vice chair stands ready to step into the chairmanship at any time," said ASLRRA President Chuck Baker. "His expertise in the specifics of railroading balanced with his interest in broader railroad trends and policy makes him a great fit for this position."
