Yesterday, RailWorks Corp. announced it appointed Raymond List chairman; Jeffrey Levy, president and chief executive officer to succeed List; and John August, executive vice president.

List previously served as president and CEO of Kaiser Engineers, GVG Inc., Cohr Inc., ICF Technology and The Venture Fund of Washington, and operated his own management consulting business. Since becoming RailWorks’ top executive in 2004, he helped stabilize the company’s organization, strengthen business lines and enhance the firm’s market position, according to a prepared statement.

In 2004, Levy joined RailWorks as a board member and consultant. He previously served as president and chief operating officer of EMCOR Group Inc., and held various executive management positions with Bovis Lend Lease and Stone & Webster. Levy has more than 30 years’ experience in engineering, design and construction of commercial, industrial and transportation facilities.

August most recently served as VP of operations for EMCOR Group. He previously held various management positions at Brennan Construction Co., Singer Sewing Machine Co. and the U.S. Air Force.

Founded in 1998, RailWorks supplies various products, and provides construction and maintenance services to the freight- and passenger-rail industries.
