Trinity Metro recently named Reed Lanham vice president of rail.

He now is responsible for implementing new programs to elevate the quality, reliability and consistency of Trinity Railway Express and TEXRail services, Trinity Metro officials said in a press release.

Since joining the Fort Worth-based Trinity Metro in 2015, Lanham has held a variety of leadership roles in the rail department, most recently as deputy VP of rail.

During his tenure, Lanham played a key role in the startup of TEXRail and successfully led the agency’s implementation of positive train control on both Trinity Railway Express and TEXRail, Trinity Metro officials said. Over the past four years, he has overseen TEXRail operations.

Lanham has 16 years of commuter-rail experience. He previously served the Fort Worth Transportation Authority in several capacities, including VP of strategy and technology, manager of rail operations and director of safety and compliance. Lanham also spent nearly eight years at Herzog Technologies Inc.
