Rising Stars Award nominations are due March 8

advertisement

The deadline for submitting nominations for Progressive Railroading's 2024 Rising Stars Awards is Friday, March 8.

Progressive Railroading defines a Rising Star as someone under the age of 40 who is making a positive difference at his or her company, department or team, and is viewed by others — peers, colleagues, supervisors, clients or associates — as a rising star in the rail industry.

Progressive Railroading will select 25 Rising Stars and publish their profiles in the magazine's September issue. In addition, the Rising Stars of 2024 will be honored during a virtual celebration on July 24.

To be considered for the award, nominees must be younger than 40 years old on Sept. 1, 2024, and currently work in North America's rail industry. Rising Star candidates must be willing to participate in our process, which includes answering interview questions from Progressive Railroading staff and supplying a photo for publication.

To nominate a Rising Star, fill out this nomination survey. Explain in a detailed, written statement how the nominee goes above and beyond the call of duty to make a difference in the railroad industry.

Candidates will be considered for recognition based on qualities such as their contributions to railroading, career achievements, demonstrated leadership, education, training and professional association activity or community involvement.

Nominations submitted after March 8 will not be considered for recognition in 2024.
