HNTB Architecture Inc. recently named Ken Caswell vice president and transportation architecture core practice leader. He will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Caswell will oversee the national transportation architecture division, which designs transit, bridge, toll and parking facilities. The firm has designed the Kansas City, Mo., Union Station renovation and Bay Area Rapid Transit’s extension to San Francisco International Airport.

Caswell has more than 30 years’ experience in large-scale transit facility construction and project management programs, including Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s light-rail station and service facilities, and the Central Phoenix/East Valley light-rail system. He most recently served as manager of transit facilities design and urban planning in Leo A. Daly’s Phoenix office. Caswell also has held various project management roles with architectural firms in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
