A. Stucki Co. President Jack Faryniak and Vice President of Customer Technical Support Dennis Rhen plan to retire tomorrow, ending long stints with the supplier.
The company named Bill Kiefer president to succeed Faryniak, who's served A. Stucki since 1989. Faryniak previously held sales and engineering positions responsible for domestic and international markets.
Rhen has served A. Stucki since 1969 in research and development, sales, and service engineering positions. He also served as a consultant to the supplier for three years while attending graduate school.
Kiefer will retain his duties as president of Independent Draft Gear while managing A. Stucki. He has four years' experience in the railroad industry, and spent 20 years in the distribution and manufacturing sector.
In January, A. Stucki parent Hansen Inc. acquired the assets of Independent Draft Gear, which reconditions and tests draft gears principally for the rail-car repair market. A. Stucki Co. supplies constant-contact side bearings, resilient friction wedges, and body-side bearing plates and wedges used in new and repaired cars.
