The American Public Transportation Association late last week selected Rita Scott and Naomi Renek as new members of its executive committee.

Scott is chair of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. She succeeds Michael Goldman, who was nominated to a three-year term as a member-at-large of the committee in September 2021. Scott currently serves on the APTA Transit Board Members Committee, APTA officials said in a newsletter.

Renek is senior adviser of federal policy at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City. She fills the unexpired term of MARTA CEO Jeffrey Parker, who died in January. A graduate of the Leadership APTA Class of 2011, Renek will serve as a Top 10 Transit System representative. She currently serves on the legislative, legacy systems and rail transit committees.
