The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) is calling for applications to its professional development program through May 3.

Leadership APTA is a year-long program designed to develop and support managers and leaders aspiring to hold senior and executive leadership positions in the public transportation industry.

This year, the Leadership APTA Committee will select 35 applicants to participate in skill-building workshops, conferences, executive roundtables, team leadership projects, site visits, online meetings and web-based events, according to an APTA press release.

To qualify, applicants must be employees of an APTA-member organization, a manager with “proven experience” and potential to hold a senior or executive leadership position.

Up to two applicants may apply from each organization.
