Mike Heridia, co-president of All Railroad Services Corp., released a press statement from his Ottsville, Pa., office confirming the death of his business partner and friend, Co-President Vinnie Vaccarello, in a plane crash that occurred Oct. 3 in northwestern Indiana.

The statement reads: "It is with profound sadness that I confirm the loss of my friend and business partner, Vinnie Vaccarello. Tragically, while traveling on a business trip with Patsy Crisafi, a close friend and business associate [and] president of Roadway Worker Training, the CIRRUS SP 22 personal aircraft crashed in Gary, Ind., one mile short of the runway. The railroad industry, the organizations that support rail service operations and the marketplace has lost two dynamic and vital members of their community."

"Establishing our own company was a dream that Vinnie and I shared. With the formation of All Railroad Services Corp., our dreams were realized. In just six years, through adversity and often times tough challenges, ARS Corp. became a company recognized as an industry leader. Standing steadfast, I would like to assure everyone that ARS Corp. is committed to strive for success and will continue to provide customers with the high level of services that they expect and of which ARS Corp. is proud of. On behalf of our organization, I would like to thank everyone for their support."

Combining their 28 years of industry experience, Heridia, formerly national sales manager of Asplundh, and Vaccarello, formerly vice president at Balfour Beatty Rail Inc., established All Railroad Services Corp. in 2006 as a full-range service provider of vegetation services, rail yard cleaning, demolition services, and rental of equipment supported by a fleet of on- and off-track equipment. ARS Corp. was soon recognized as an industry leader, wrote Heridia.

ARS also announced that a viewing will be held for Vaccarello on Oct. 12 at Hardage - Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223. Viewings will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A service will be held Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at Juan Del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 State Road North, St. Johns, FL 32259.

Family and friends will be received at the Ramada Inn, 3130 Hartley Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257, phone: 904-268-8080; fax: 904-262-8718.
