Anacostia Rail Holdings Inc. (ARH) announced this week it is expanding its management team at the holding company and at two of its operating companies: the Louisville & Indiana Railroad and Pacific Harbor Line.

ARH has hired David Hankins as human resources director, a newly created corporate position that will coordinate activities for the holding company and its affiliates, according to a company press release. He joins the company from Eagle Express Lines in South Holland, Ill., where he was corporate HR manager. He also has served stints at Progress Rail Services and U.S. Road & Rail of St. Louis, and was a logistics officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

William Faulkner has joined the Louisville & Indiana Railroad as a trainmaster, assisting in the management of train operations. Faulkner began his railroad career as a management trainee at Norfolk Southern Railway, where he advanced to lead trainmaster.

Louisville & Indiana serves customers along the Indianapolis-Louisville corridor and in the Port of Indiana-Jeffersonville.

Kimia Khatami has joined Pacific Harbor Line as manager of sales and customer service. Previously, she was an account manager at Union Pacific Railroad, where her responsibilities included lumber, paper, consumer products, grain and renewable fuel. In her new role, she will support business development and government relations, and oversee customer service.

Pacific Harbor Line provides rail transportation, track maintenance and train dispatching services to the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.
