Burlington Northern Santa Fe recently named Ken Kempker vice president and chief sourcing officer to succeed Mark Schulze, who earlier this month was named general manager of the railroad's Texas Division. Kempker will report to Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer Carl Ice.

Kempker most recently served as vice president of corporate audit services. He previously served Santa Fe Pacific Corp. as assistant vice president of engineering accounting and manager of financial reporting, and held other accounting positions. Prior to Santa Fe Pacific, he served Price Waterhouse as a senior auditor.

BNSF also named Dave Stropes VP of corporate audit services to succeed Kempker. Most recently AVP of consumer products, Stropes will report to Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Matthew Rose.

Since joining Santa Fe Railway in 1984, Stropes has served as a cost analysis and research department software specialist, manager and director of finance, AVP of planning and capital, and assistant controller.
