BNSF Railway Co. recently promoted General Director of Customer Billing Tom Packer to assistant vice president of revenue management to succeed Dave Lamott, who will retire in early 2007, ending a nearly 36-year BNSF career.

Packer has held his current position since 1997. Since joining BNSF in 1985, he has held various finance, marketing and revenue management posts, including general director of price management.

BNSF also promoted General Director of Corporate Real Estate Development Mark Ude to AVP of corporate real estate development to succeed Jim O’Neil, who will retire at year’s end, capping a 36-year BNSF career.

Ude previously held various finance and marketing positions, including general director of business unit support. Prior to joining BNSF, he spent five years with accounting firm Deloitte & Touche.
