BNSF shuffles part of operations management deck

On Sept. 11, Burlington Northern Santa Fe named Dave Freeman assistant vice president, service design, to succeed Bill Slaughter, who plans to retire Oct. 1.
The railroad also named Jon O'Harra general superintendent transportation, Central Region, to succeed Freeman; Rick Ellis, general superintendent transportation, North Region, to succeed O'Harra; and Sam Sexhus, assistant vice president, unit train operations, to succeed Ellis.
In addition, BNSF named T.D. Smith acting general superintendent transportation, South Region, to succeed Danny Reynolds, who now serves as acting general manager, Kansas Division.
